Strong team of women that work together to enhance our work culture and job functions.
Name a fun fact about yourself that you’d like more people to know?
I enjoy making tasty cocktails—signature drinks for parties—thinking of a ‘bubbly bus’ in my sunsetting years (refurbished 70s Silver Bullet trailer into a mobile bar for hire 😊).
How long have you worked in the IT industry?
Um, that will tell my age…lol. Since companies were using reels of tape for backups. And green screen DOS command line—JCL code, as/400, pagers for on call, bag phones… how far IT has evolved! Haha.
What would you say is the biggest challenge working in the IT field as a woman?
I like the challenge of being a woman in IT. It has mostly been predominately men in this field but over the years it seems to have normalized with the growth of women in STEM fields. I have both men and women as mentors that have helped guide me through my career journey in IT.
What words would you use to inspire others facing an professional or project-related obstacle?
Always look at both sides of the coin and figure out the best way to come to a decision or next step that makes all parties feel part of the solution/decision. Or old school. Pick up the phone and call them to discuss. Less email noise and more relationship focused.
Can you describe a recent positive experience working with another woman at Technologent?
I honestly can say that each woman I encounter at Technologent brings something unique to the table. I enjoy getting to know them professionally and personally.
What is a professional/career goal for you this year?
Help attain our company goals by coaching and mentoring my team. And identifying process improvements that will be impactful for our growth.

What does the phrase “Women of Tech(nologent)” mean to you?
It is empowering, there have been so many remarkable women who have paved the path for us to be a part of this industry. I am truly blessed to work with such amazing, intelligent, and industrious women.
Name a fun fact about yourself that you’d like more people to know?
I was mentioned in an article in Time Magazine in the 80s. It was an article about high school sports.
How long have you worked in the IT industry?
Too long! Seriously, I started in this industry back in 1996 (of course started at an extremely youthful age <Grin>)!
What would you say is the biggest challenge working in the IT field as a woman?
For me: balancing work, and personal/family life. It is a very demanding industry, and we sometimes forget to prioritize between the two.
What words would you use to inspire others facing a professional or project-related obstacle?
I would remind them that they can overcome any obstacle. It may take time and hard work, but they can do it. We all can easily become overwhelmed with those obstacles. I believe at Technologent there are so many amazing and talented individuals that you can reach out to and resources to tap into to assist.
Can you describe a recent positive experience working with another woman at Technologent?
There are so many positive experiences. Intelligent and creative women surround me here at Technologent. There is not a day that goes by without them either inspiring, encouraging, or motivating me.
What is a professional/career goal for you this year?
Our industry is constantly evolving and changing. This can present daily challenges like ensuring past responsibility are maintained and future challenges are met. I striving to stay current in Tech.

Reliable, consistent, hardworking.
Name a book, movie or music album you’re enjoying currently:
I am enjoying reading historical fiction – Just finished reading All the Light We Cannot See. Good book and I would recommend to those who like to read.

The golden rule 😊: treat others like you want to be treated.
