Provisioning a new data stream took up to two weeks, and monthly inefficiencies totaled over $700K, with $500K in overprovisioned EC2 and $175K in excessive S3 storage.

The Solution: Serverless, Secure, and Smart

Technologent led the design and implementation of a next-gen ingestion pipeline using a fully automated, serverless architecture on AWS. The solution combined Amazon Kinesis for high-speed data streaming (tested at 100K records/sec) with AWS Lambda for real-time processing and transformation.

Telemetry data landed in Amazon S3 using versioned, lifecycle-managed buckets that aligned with the customer’s Lakehouse model. Databricks served as the contextual analytics layer, enabling near real-time network insights. All infrastructure was codified using Terraform and CloudFormation, and automated through GitHub Actions, allowing for consistent CI/CD and rapid provisioning.

Security and compliance were non-negotiable. Technologent enforced role-based access controls using IAM, AWS Control Tower, and Service Control Policies (SCPs) to isolate carrier workloads while maintaining centralized observability. TLS encryption, CloudTrail logging, and Storage Lens ensured full visibility and governance.
